About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute the end-to-end product development lifecycle for assigned categories, from concept through commercialization
  • Partner with Design to bring concepts to life while maintaining brand intent, quality, and cost targets
  • Collaborate with Sourcing to identify and engage manufacturing partners
  • Drive development timelines, ensuring milestones are met and risks are flagged early
  • Support prototyping and iteration cycles to refine design, materials, and product experience
  • Manage day-to-day communication with vendors throughout development
  • Partner with Sourcing on cost targets and value optimization
  • Refine product specifications and documentation
  • Partner with Sourcing and Compliance to ensure regulatory and quality standards
  • Support pilot runs and production readiness
  • Ensure a smooth transition from development to production and launch
  • Improve development processes, tools, and ways of working
  • Contribute to innovation in materials, finishes, and product experience
  • Support special projects and new category exploration
  • Review vendor specifications, finishes, and CAD drawings
  • Assess prototype quality and craftsmanship and create quality control summaries
  • Join evening calls with international manufacturing partners as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Development or related roles within furniture and home furnishings
  • Familiarity with CAD software and ability to review technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of furniture materials, construction, and manufacturing processes
  • Proven ability to manage multiple product timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with domestic and international manufacturing partners
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach
  • Ability to balance design intent with cost and production considerations
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Outstanding project management skills; highly organized, detail-oriented, and diligent with follow-up
  • Experience with product testing and quality standards is a plus
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Cultural awareness and experience working with global partners
  • Willingness to travel as needed
