About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define, monitor, and report on key metrics measuring Thumbtack’s success
- Lead business performance analysis and reporting for leadership
- Conduct deep-dive analyses informing future strategy
- Support and improve the company revenue forecasting model and broader forecasting and planning process
- Build and maintain dashboards and self-serve tools
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and leadership to translate insights into action
- Strengthen the data culture through peer collaboration, review, training, and coaching
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of experience in a highly analytical role, preferably in tech; experience in a marketplace or two-sided platform business is a plus
- Proficiency using SQL and Python or R to analyze large data sets
- Solid statistics foundation
- Strong business judgment and comfort navigating ambiguity
- Ability to synthesize insight from analysis
- Experience partnering with executives to understand business needs and drive decisions
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience using AI to automate workflows and enable self-serve analytics
- Experience with revenue modeling and forecasting, ideally in a high-growth or public company environment
