About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the design of solutions at scale and on platforms capable of managing large volumes of structured and unstructured data, including real-time data
- Ensure a horizontal data architecture that enables solution reuse and cost optimization
- Design solutions that ensure data governance, privacy, and quality
- Apply the company’s data privacy and security policies to data access
- Describe technologies, integrations between components, and logical interaction flows
- Oversee technological innovation and prepare technology scouting and opportunity analysis reports
- Monitor emerging technology trends and recommend best practices
- Identify opportunities for improvement through integrations and the replacement of legacy systems
- Develop prototypes and proofs of concept for innovation projects
- Promote a data-driven decision-making culture, acting as a liaison between technical and business areas
- Build, optimize, and maintain conceptual and logical database models
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Specialization in BI, Analytics, Cloud Computing, Big Data, or Advanced Data Analytics is desirable
- Data visualization and exploration tools, such as Power BI and Looker
- Knowledge of data pipelines and all their stages, from ingestion through decision-making
- Technical knowledge of data structures, including relational and non-relational databases and Big Data
- Database management
- Data mining
- Knowledge of cloud data solutions, such as GCP, Azure, OCI, and others
- Programming languages, such as SQL, Shell Script, R, Python, Scala, and Java
- Lean and Agile development methodologies
- Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
