About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the definition, development, and implementation of technical projects for telecommunications equipment, platforms, systems, and services
Define reference technologies and solutions through technology scouting, benchmarking, RFI/RFQ processes, requirements consolidation, and technical vendor evaluation
Develop High-Level Designs (HLDs) and provide guidance on Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation
Analyze requests from internal client areas, assess feasibility, and translate requirements into technical specifications
Plan, coordinate, and oversee testing by defining procedures, environments, criteria, and result traceability
Map technical, operational, regulatory, and environmental risks and impacts, defining preventive and corrective actions
Define technical standards for design, execution, and installation
Ensure the proper sizing of architectures and platforms in line with the evolution of services, traffic, and demand
Ensure that implementations, integrations, and rollouts comply with technological, architectural, regulatory, and quality standards
Plan and monitor timelines, requirements, financial resources, and contracting processes, including approvals, BoQs, POs, FSs, provisions, and supplier payments
Report incidents with potential environmental impacts and present mitigation measures
Complete mandatory training and keep the learning plan up to date
Comply with legal regulations and internal Safety & Environmental Governance standards
Monitor contractors and subcontractors with potential environmental impacts
Promote innovation, automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement in engineering and operations
Assess and lead AI, analytics, and automation opportunities for feasibility studies, predictive analysis, capacity optimization, and project prioritization

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
Experience with virtualized 2G/3G/4G/5G mobile network architecture, with an emphasis on Packet Core, including 5G Core SA and NSA, EPC, vEPC, Control and User Plane Separation (CUPS), and DNS
Experience implementing platform projects, special initiatives, proofs of concept (POCs), solution validation, and integration
Experience with Core platform integration projects
Experience in Project Engineering, Deployment, Planning, and Operations, with a focus on Packet Core and NFVi solutions
Experience implementing cloud-native solutions, including containers, Docker, Kubernetes, and virtual private networks
Knowledge of the environmental impacts associated with features and functionality in telecommunications platforms, services, and systems
Knowledge of Lean/Agile development methodologies
Experience using AI, analytics, programming, and automation to optimize networks and develop Packet Core tools
Advanced English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking)
