About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the end-to-end event portfolio, experience, and execution model across Higher Education and K-12 markets
  • Build and maintain the annual event plan and calendar based on buyer and influencer research
  • Identify and secure speaking opportunities with institutional decision-makers
  • Design, build, and scale the event function and operating model
  • Lead pre-event planning, onsite experience, and post-event follow-through
  • Manage goals, audience/account targeting, logistics, promotion, booth/environment design, staffing, programming, reporting, lead handoff, and nurture
  • Partner with speakers and content developers on sessions, booth content, collateral, messaging, and product positioning
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success on staffing, preparation, enablement, and account-based event outreach
  • Redesign event workflows around AI, content production, attendee/account targeting, and post-event reporting
  • Manage a Coordinator and an outsourced operations/logistics agency
  • Manage vendors including venues, production, booth/signage, swag/premiums, registration, and lead-capture platforms
  • Negotiate vendor scope and maintain budget and timeline accountability
  • Own and manage the events budget and investment prioritization
  • Collaborate with Brand, Product Marketing, and Marketing Operations
  • Oversee lead capture, routing, attribution, and reporting infrastructure
  • Report event performance and ROI to marketing and sales leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement by determining what to scale, fix, or cut

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 7+ years of B2B event marketing experience
  • Experience building or significantly scaling an event program from the ground up
  • Higher education, K-12, or healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • Track record owning the full event lifecycle across owned and third-party events
  • Experience managing an agency or outsourced operations partner
  • Experience managing multiple vendor relationships simultaneously
  • People management experience or demonstrated readiness to manage and develop a direct report
  • Fluency with AI tools applied to marketing/event workflows, including content generation, research, targeting, and reporting
  • Growth marketing mindset with ability to test, measure, and iterate
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and marketing automation/ABM platforms such as HubSpot and 6sense
  • Working knowledge of event technology such as Zuant and Goldcast or similar
  • Strategic and hands-on operational ability with strong creative, execution, project management, and time management skills
  • Collaborative communication skills and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-moving, growth-stage environment
