About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead media investment planning and execution across TV, OTT/CTV, OLV, Audio, and Display
  • Align plans with client goals and full-funnel strategies, including trade-offs, channel roles, pacing, and investment recommendations
  • Co-present investment recommendations and performance updates in client touchpoints
  • Explain marketplace conditions and partner performance in clear, business-friendly language
  • Identify opportunities for strategic expansion, optimization, and campaign growth
  • Set up, QA, and optimize buys in DSPs, research/planning tools, and ad servers
  • Guide the team in using platform features and partner capabilities safely and effectively
  • Structure small, low-risk tests and assist in evaluating new partner offerings
  • Review campaign performance data and translate it into actionable recommendations
  • Apply incrementality/lift learnings and MMM pointers in investment decisions
  • Own and oversee QA, delivery hygiene, tagging, trafficking, quality issues, and contract compliance
  • Apply buying, negotiation, stewardship, brand safety, verification, viewability/IVT, frequency/overlap, and QA standards
  • Serve as a go-to resource in at least one TV/audio/display landscape area
  • Keep current on media trends and share updates and opportunities with internal partners
  • Support and sometimes lead growth plays involving inventory upgrades, partner packages, and data audiences
  • Improve account economics, rates, added value, guarantees, and quality
  • Lead moderately complex cross-account operational projects
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a small team of Associates, Senior Associates, and Buyers
  • Set goals, provide feedback, review team work, coach judgment, and help balance workloads and priorities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5–7+ years of experience in a media agency or publisher environment, focused on media buying in linear TV, OTT/CTV, digital audio, and/or display
  • Exposure to commerce, OOH, experiential, or paid social is a plus
  • Proven track record leveraging partner relationships and marketplace knowledge to negotiate and execute high-value media opportunities
  • Demonstrable, ongoing relationships with key media salespeople
  • Experience leading a small team of individual contributors, formally or as a strong de facto lead
  • Direct hands-on-keys experience in DSPs, research/planning tools, and ad servers
  • Baseline knowledge of incrementality testing and in-channel/cross-channel measurement approaches, including MMM pointers, ghost bidding, and conversion lift
  • Ability to work with TVAD/Analytics to interpret partner studies and guardrails
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Self-motivated, curious, and collaborative
  • Working knowledge of strategic marketing and communication
  • Proficiency in Excel/Sheets
  • Solid business writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent time management across multiple projects and accounts
