About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage, optimize, and maintain TireHub’s core HR systems and data
- Partner with the Senior Leader of HRIS and Payroll to deliver reliable, scalable, data-driven HR technology solutions
- Oversee system updates, configurations, troubleshooting, and ongoing HR system operations
- Manage HR Help requests, payroll assistance, and open enrollment support
- Serve as second-level escalation point for managers and end users
- Troubleshoot complex software and system problems and coordinate with technical staff on advanced issues
- Manage and execute HR system upgrades and implementations, including testing, validation, and post-implementation support
- Lead special projects from requirements definition through completion, documentation, and end-user training
- Establish and enforce HR data governance standards, conduct audits, manage user access controls, and resolve data integrity issues
- Maintain HR system rules, workflows, processes, and user documentation
- Build, modify, and validate reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making
- Research data discrepancies, identify root causes, recommend corrective action, and implement preventive solutions
- Identify and lead process improvements across HR operations
- Lead process mapping and implement streamlined workflows for hiring, onboarding, job changes, compensation, benefits, performance, and offboarding
- Replace manual spreadsheets and repetitive tasks with HRIS workflows, integrations, scheduled reports, and self-service tools
- Establish governance standards for configurations, security roles, documentation, testing, and change control
- Monitor and resolve KPIs and dashboards measuring processing time, error rates, adoption, service levels, and business impact
- Serve as senior HRIS subject matter expert and provide guidance and technical expertise to the team
- Provide senior-level support and training to HR staff and employees
- Create, assign, and audit end-user security access
- Lead training initiatives for new processes, system functionality, and updated workflows
- Complete ongoing training requirements and other tasks assigned by leadership
- Report to the Sr. Leader of HRIS & Payroll
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience preferred
- 4–6 years of progressive experience in HRIS roles with increasing levels of responsibility
- Demonstrated experience with HRIS platforms, HR technology systems, or enterprise HR applications required
- Hands-on experience with UKG strongly preferred
- Technical proficiency in HRIS modules, HR platforms, and information technology systems
- Ability to quickly develop expertise in new systems and tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical information to non-technical audiences
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to diagnose system and data issues and deliver sustainable, scalable solutions
- Proven project management skills and experience applying structured project management practices to HR technology or IT projects
- Detailed-oriented approach to data quality, data integrity, and data security
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to collaborate effectively with HRBPs and Human Resources team members
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when safeguarding sensitive information
- Hands-on experience with UKG Pro, including system configuration, module administration, and end-user support preferred
- Experience developing and delivering HR systems training materials preferred
- Experience with workflow documentation and process mapping preferred
- Must be able to work flexible hours to support time-system changes and critical system needs
- Must be able to travel up to 10%
