Key responsibilities & impact

Stand up dashboards to monitor adherence to data requirements across the organization
Support Data Governance Council working sessions
Act as a subject matter expert for the enterprise Business Glossary
Partner with the data catalog team to streamline metadata standards and automate data discovery
Develop governance documentation, stewardship training materials, and SOPs
Research emerging data management frameworks and AI governance best practices
Own governance dashboards, proactive compliance monitoring, and data quality tracking
Collaborate with Engineering, Analytics, Legal, and other cross-functional partners
Translate business definitions into technical metadata specifications

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of professional experience in data governance, data management, product management, or analytics
Proven experience with modern data platforms, including Snowflake and dbt
Experience with data catalogs such as DataHub, Alation, or Atlan, focused on enterprise metadata and stewardship deployments
Ability to implement data governance frameworks, business glossaries, and data domain models for core enterprise applications
Understanding of industry standards and best practices in data management, metrics standardization, and metadata curation
Experience with SQL for governance reporting, analytics, and data quality analysis
Excellent analytical and verbal skills
Ability to communicate complex governance policies and lead cross-functional workshops across technical and non-technical audiences
