Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive the evolution of tips and earnings platforms, leading complex projects that improve functionality and reliability
  • Take end-to-end ownership of systems and contribute to engineering standards focused on correctness, reliability, and maintainability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of back-end experience with one or more object-oriented programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or similar
  • Proficiency with modern web standards and technologies, including React, TypeScript, REST, and GraphQL
  • Proficiency with traditional databases and alternative data stores
  • Experience owning and operating production systems
  • Experience with distributed systems, enterprise messaging systems, and/or microservices
  • Strong appreciation for precision and correctness
  • Track record of tackling ambiguous, high-impact challenges and delivering scalable solutions
  • Excellent cross-team communication skills on complex technical topics
  • Passion for technology and learning new things
