About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop robust and scalable full-stack software applications with Design, Product, and engineering teams
  • Design, build, and maintain high-performing, flexible, and scalable solutions for restaurant operations
  • Provide design feedback and participate in code reviews
  • Participate in architectural discussions and influence the technical roadmap
  • Use AI tools to enhance development workflow and velocity
  • Build and scale platforms that calculate and deliver pay to restaurant employees, including tip pooling, wage calculation, earnings retrieval, and payroll delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of back-end experience with one or more object-oriented programming languages, such as Java or Kotlin
  • Proficiency with modern web standards and technologies, including React, TypeScript, REST, and GraphQL
  • Proficiency with traditional databases and alternative data stores
  • Experience delivering high-quality, reliable services to production
  • Experience with distributed systems, enterprise messaging systems, and/or microservices
  • Strong appreciation for precision and correctness
  • Excellent cross-team communication skills on complex technical topics
  • Passion for technology and learning new things
