About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the electronic scheduling system day to day
  • Ensure appointments are made and kept
  • Monitor and update views daily
  • Maximise productivity while prioritising customer care
  • Monitor and manage work completed within agreed timescales and organisational policies and procedures
  • Identify, prioritise and ensure Section 11 repairs are completed within the appropriate timescale
  • Produce regular monitoring reports covering teams, areas, technicians, trades, priorities and timescales
  • Coordinate timely and accurate operative updates to schedule work around customer requirements
  • Reschedule jobs due to unplanned absences, overrunning work or materials needing to be ordered
  • Contact affected customers directly to agree and communicate changes and updates
  • Promptly reschedule pending or suspended jobs and chase outstanding materials
  • Communicate with planning, customer and business development, delivery, coordination, technician and customer contact teams about work quality, timeliness and issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in supporting the delivery of a front line responsive repair service to an upper quartile level
  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Experience of working in a social housing repairs environment
  • Ability to use IT applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and to interrogate databases
  • Working to set target timescales and deadlines
  • Knowledge of Section 11 of the Tenant and Landlord Act
  • Flexible approach to working hours in order to achieve work demands/priorities
  • Basic Criminal Disclosure required when a conditional offer is made due to work with vulnerable members of society

  • Starting salary of £16,506 per annum, based on 22 hours and 12 minutes per week
  • Hybrid role, combining home and office working
  • Required attendance at Bull Green House office in Halifax at least one day per week, preferably on a Monday
  • Part-Time, 22 hours 12 minutes per week, worked over 3 days (7 hours 24 minutes per day)
  • Fixed-term contract until 16 August 2027
