About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Achieve sales objectives in the assigned territory through business development and account management
- Develop and maintain relationships with oncologists, urologists, nurses, pharmacists, health care providers and other customers
- Promote Tolmar products and influence prescribing habits within the designated territory
- Call on health care providers and health-related organizations
- Develop relationships with non-prescribing decision influencers, including executives, nurse navigators, injecting nurses, medical assistants and office managers
- Provide oncology and urology practices and hospitals with contracting, training, technology troubleshooting and ongoing customer service
- Identify practice needs for Tolmar’s proprietary Inventory Management System and manage implementation and training
- Collaborate with other AMRs on accounts spanning multiple geographies
- Evaluate weekly sales data reports and manage business needs
- Communicate contract measurement details to accounts
- Follow up on leads and convert potential leads to active users
- Communicate clinical, technical, therapeutic, disease-state and product information
- Promote appropriate on-label use of approved products
- Develop and deliver customer-specific sales presentations
- Maintain the territory database with sales calls, trends, objectives, sampling data and performance
- Complete routine reports and comply with industry, regulatory and company guidelines
- Prepare annual business plans and conduct quarterly territory performance analysis
- Attend trade shows, community events and company meetings
- Manage promotional items, budgets and account relationships
- Enter sales calls in the CRM system daily or as directed, submit expense reports, track company-car mileage and maintain the company car
- Partner with internal departments to support business growth
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance and work in the field calling on customers from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Candidates must reside in the greater Philadelphia, PA area
- Bachelor’s degree in science, business or related field
- Two or more years of successful business-to-business sales experience, preferably in the urology industry
- Pharmaceutical/buy-and-bill sales experience preferred
- Clinical experience helpful
- Consistent track record of exceeding sales quotas
- Ability to be approved and insured to drive company car
- Valid driver’s license and good driving history
- Reside centrally within the territory
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills and proven strategic thinking
- Advanced organization and follow-up skills
- Negotiation and selling techniques with demonstrated accountability in executing sales plans
- Aptitude for learning technical and scientific product-related information
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Ability to work with interruptions and tight deadlines
- Ability to execute effective business plans for the assigned territory
- Ability to develop working relationships with internal and external customers
- Ability to take initiative in the absence of precise direction
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment, discretion and compliance with industry ethical guidelines
- Overnight travel required up to 50%
