About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide Tier 1 technical support via phone, email, chat, and ticketing system for remote employees across multiple locations
- Manage and escalate tickets appropriately, ensuring timely follow-up and clear communication
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Windows/Mac workstations, accessories, mobile devices, legal-industry software, and networks
- Support Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, document management systems, video conferencing, and authentication tools
- Assist with new-hire onboarding, including account setup, device configuration, and user orientation
- Maintain and update IT documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles
- Collaborate with IT leadership on process improvements, recurring issue analysis, and system enhancements
- Ensure adherence to security policies, confidentiality requirements, and compliance standards relevant to legal environments
- Serve as a frontline, white-glove support resource for attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be based in or willing to work Eastern Time Zone hours
- 0-1 year of Helpdesk or IT support experience, ideally in a remote or multi-location environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, and remote-access tools
- Good problem-solving instincts and willingness to research solutions
- Experience supporting Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, Windows and MacOS, and common collaboration tools
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-service mindset
- Ability to collaborate effectively with peers, managers, and cross-functional teams
- Time management and prioritization skills to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and tickets with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in reading and writing in English
- Must be able to work EST business hours consistently
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Zendesk, Jira, or ServiceNow preferred
- Basic scripting or command-line experience preferred
- Exposure to cloud platforms preferred
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot preferred
