About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer payroll, including salaries and commissions for employees and contractors
- Manage HR administration in Justworks and act as the main point of contact for the platform
- Support compliance and labor law-related matters, including employee handbooks, minimum wage requirements, required workplace postings and work environment matters
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including contracts, HR systems, benefits, 401(k), background checks, payroll administration and exit interviews
- Support recruitment for Retail Managers and first-line Office managers, including job postings, screening, initial video interviews and interview coordination
- Act as the first point of contact for US employees on day-to-day People & Culture questions
- Support implementation and documentation of People processes and ways of working across North America
- Coordinate Performance Management processes in North America with the global People & Culture Team and relevant internal stakeholders
- Support Office-related operational tasks when needed
- Participate in and contribute to TOTEME’s social and environmental sustainability strategy
- Report to the Chief People & Culture Officer with a dotted line to the SVP North America
- Work directly with the Global People & Culture Team and local managers
Requirements
What you’ll need- A couple of years of broad HR experience
- Hands-on experience with recruitment and payroll administration
- A relevant degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Experience working across multiple US states and/or countries is considered a plus
- Experience within retail is considered a plus
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Right to work in the US
- Ability to travel when required
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Proactive, service-minded and solution-oriented approach
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in an international, fast-paced environment
