About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide financial analysis, prepare credit reviews and make lending recommendations for submission and approval by relevant authorities.
- Recommend the frequency of future reviews and stock audit controls through the defined grading structure.
- Review and approve underwriting submissions at the appropriate authority level.
- Manage Management Information updates from Toyota and Lexus Centres, identifying early warning signals, risk indicators and adverse trends using Excel, and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Assist with credit-related and underwriting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with SOX, Money Laundering and GDPR requirements.
- Act as a reference point for departments and colleagues on credit, financial analysis, underwriting, facility approval and financial matters.
- Assist in managing parameters and security of Dealer funding instruments across new car funding, used car funding, current account, demonstrator facilities, term loans and mortgages.
- Own and ensure performance against published service standards.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience of financial analysis and underwriting for corporate customers.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends and draw clear conclusions.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, including VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, pivot tables and macros.
- Basic PowerPoint and Power BI skills.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for using technology and data tools to improve analysis, identify trends and support continuous improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Keen problem solver with a proactive and curious approach.
- Numerate with an aptitude for working with figures and data.
- Capable of building strong working relationships and liaising with all levels of staff, management and external customers.
- Comfortable challenging existing ways of working in a constructive way.
- Strong continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in finding smarter, simpler and more effective ways to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Open to learning and experimenting with new tools, while applying sound judgement and appropriate governance.
