About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Jointly lead Business Technology Solutions for the domestic business with the Head of BTS & InfoSec
Provide management oversight and operational delivery across Governance, Portfolio/Projects/Change Management, Applications/Service Delivery and Technical/Operations
Manage BTS resources, including people, finances, assets and vendors/partners
Develop relationships with internal customers and external vendors/partners
Promote continuous improvement across BTS and support other departments with improvement activities
Manage staff in accordance with TFSUK’s inclusive and collaborative culture
Support internal and external audits and ensure remediation actions are completed effectively and on time
Ensure adherence to Sarbanes Oxley, UK GDPR, FCA guidance and rules, ISO27001 and other applicable requirements
Contribute to BTS strategy and own BTS business objectives
Align BTS with business objectives and communicate its contribution to their achievement
Expose BTS and the wider business to new technologies, services and processes
Own BTS business change
Own portfolio governance and frameworks
Own the Service Desk and customer interaction
Own domestic cyber security
Own data centre operations
Provide infrastructure management services for sister company Kinto UK
Oversee testing and application support
Manage vendor and partner relationships
Own domestic business continuity and disaster recovery for systems and services
Manage finances and cost control
Oversee audit remediation
Govern integration layer development
Maintain policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years’ experience in a Senior Technology/IT Position
Financial Services background
Track record of leading Change Delivery, including oversight and governance, change frameworks, system implementations and operations
Strong leadership skills
Ability to develop potential and shape teams to maximise business delivery
Ability to translate business information into effective IT plans and vice versa
Ability to prioritise and execute tasks across multiple stakeholders and functions
Track record managing third-party providers/partners
Prince2 or similar desirable
ITIL qualification desirable
Experience managing Service Desk, Technical/Infrastructure or Project Delivery functions desirable
Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley, GDPR, ISO27001 or Cyber Essentials desirable
Financial Management, budgets and cost control experience desirable
Information Security or Cyber Security experience desirable
Ability to remain calm and focused in challenging circumstances
Ability to manage several key issues/priorities simultaneously
Ability to communicate IT concepts and concerns to the business and vice versa
Ability to create loyalty and respect among IT professionals
Ability to operate at all business levels with strong technical knowledge and leadership
Clear and concise communication
Works to high standards and encourages others to do likewise
Certified role requiring DBS check, Fit & Proper checks and six years of employment checks
