About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead discovery sessions with the firm’s departments to understand workflows, pain points, and needs.
  • Map the current process (as-is) and design the ideal journey (to-be).
  • Define the hypotheses for each initiative and the success criteria that determine whether the solution addresses the pain point.
  • Assess the risk and potential benefits of automating each workflow, supporting the decision to proceed, adjust, or discard the initiative.
  • Conduct user testing to validate hypotheses and gather evidence of what works.
  • Refine the solution based on test learnings through short cycles with the team.
  • Prepare the functional specification for the validated solution, at a level sufficient to guide product development.
  • Monitor execution, ensuring that what is built aligns with the specifications.
  • Conclude involvement upon delivery of the validated solution and its specification, without assuming responsibility for maintaining the product developed.
  • Facilitate communication between the legal departments and the technical team.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in process mapping and requirements gathering.
  • Familiarity with solution validation, including hypotheses, success criteria, and user testing.
  • Ability to prepare functional specifications to guide development.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic and solution-design methodologies, such as business analysis, process mapping, service design, or legal design.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to conduct interviews and meetings with different departments.
  • Analytical, organized, and strong written communication skills.
  • Autonomy to lead discovery activities, with leadership validation at key delivery milestones.
  • Experience in legal innovation, legal operations, or digital transformation.
  • Knowledge of automation and AI tools applied to business processes.
  • Previous experience as a business analyst or product analyst.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
