About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the strategy, vision, development, and commercialization of TransUnion's messaging solutions portfolio, including SMS, MMS, RCS, and emerging messaging channels
- Define and scale trusted communications solutions by extending voice capabilities into secure business-to-consumer messaging experiences
- Own the product lifecycle from market assessment and business case development through roadmap creation, pricing, positioning, launch, adoption, and ongoing optimization
- Partner with Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales, and Solutions teams to translate business opportunities into scalable product capabilities
- Serve as the messaging subject matter expert and educate internal stakeholders on messaging ecosystems, carrier networks, aggregators, and emerging communication technologies
- Develop competitive positioning and go-to-market strategies leveraging TransUnion's customer base and trusted communications platform
- Engage customers, partners, mobile network operators, aggregators, and industry stakeholders to identify opportunities and shape product direction
- Represent TransUnion as a thought leader through customer presentations, conferences, industry summits, and external speaking engagements
- Monitor market trends, competitive developments, communication technologies, and customer needs
- Drive measurable business growth through new product capabilities, market expansion, and customer adoption of messaging solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 15+ years of progressive product management experience within telecommunications, communications platforms, messaging, CPaaS, digital communications, or closely related industries
- Demonstrated ownership of product strategy and business outcomes
- Deep expertise in messaging ecosystems, including SMS, MMS, RCS, carrier messaging infrastructure, mobile network operators, aggregators, and enterprise messaging platforms
- Proven experience launching, scaling, and managing messaging products or communication solutions used by enterprise customers
- Strong understanding of business use of messaging technologies for customer experience, engagement, and communications
- Solid foundation in the underlying telecommunications ecosystem
- Demonstrated ability to partner across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and executive leadership teams
- Experience serving as an industry expert, customer-facing advisor, or product evangelist
- Ability to operate independently in highly visible, high-growth environments while balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution
- Expertise in SMS, MMS, and RCS
- Strong understanding of CPaaS ecosystems, carrier networks, aggregators, routing, and enterprise messaging infrastructure
- Experience developing product strategies and solutions integrating messaging technologies with customer communication platforms, APIs, and enterprise applications
- Knowledge of product management methodologies, roadmap development, product lifecycle management, and Agile delivery practices
- Ability to analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive positioning
- Preferred: Experience with Twilio, Sinch, Infobip, or similar CPaaS providers
- Preferred: Experience with WhatsApp, iMessage, Messenger, Viber, or Android messaging ecosystems
- Preferred: Experience with trusted communications, fraud prevention, identity-related communications, caller authentication, or customer trust solutions
- Preferred: Experience within telecommunications carriers, contact center technology providers, or enterprise communications organizations
- Preferred: Experience building omnichannel communications experiences
- Preferred: Experience expanding products into new markets, customer segments, or international geographies
