About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide legal support for a broad range of U.S. vendor engagements and business needs
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors and partners
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts, Procurement, and business stakeholders
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business
  • Support vendor contract negotiations
  • Work with privacy, information security, third-party risk management, insurance, and other cross-functional teams
  • Provide guidance on business or legal issues arising during existing contract relationships
  • Make impactful legal decisions and business recommendations for an innovative public company
  • Report to the Managing Counsel of the Legal team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited school
  • Active license to practice law and good standing in the applicable state(s) of employment by the position start date, or as otherwise permitted by state rules
  • Must remain in good standing and maintain an active license to practice law throughout employment
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating vendor/procurement contracts, including commercial and legal terms in IT, Facilities, Marketing, HR, professional services, and commodity contracts
  • Interest in global data privacy laws and regulations
  • Creative problem-solving ability focused on business-friendly solutions while managing company risk
  • Solid commercial judgment, including ability to anticipate, analyze, and make recommendations
  • Interest in emerging technologies
  • Desire to solve complex problems and curiosity to explore new ideas
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States full-time without employer support or sponsorship now or in the future
