About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop TransUnion’s IP Geolocation technology using IP network topology
Identify and implement automation algorithm improvements
Query, extract, and transform large datasets using SQL, R, Python, Mongo DB, and BigQuery
Provide analytical insights from large datasets to improve data quality
Work through complex problems with various stakeholders
Collaborate with Data Analytics Team members, Engineers, and Data Scientists
Leverage big data to improve automation algorithms and provide accurate information to customers
Report to a Senior Manager of Data Science & Analytics

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of data science experience
Proven experience with SQL, R, Python, Mongo DB, and BigQuery
Ability to translate technical terminology for non-technical stakeholders
Experience leading data science initiatives
Ability to work hybrid, including in-person attendance at an assigned TU office for a minimum of two days per week
Adherence to company policies, sound judgment, trustworthiness, safe working practices, respectful communication, and protection of confidential and proprietary information
