About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and deliver software primarily through AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex and other emerging technologies
Work with Product Managers to understand business problems, explore opportunities and prioritise high-value initiatives
Design and develop bespoke internal applications, automations and tools
Translate business requirements and ideas into delivery plans, user stories and technical solutions
Manage multiple projects, drive progress independently and adapt priorities
Review, validate and refine AI-generated outputs to ensure secure, scalable and production-ready solutions
Own the full delivery lifecycle from discovery and design through deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement
Investigate complex business and technical challenges, identify root causes and develop practical solutions
Create reusable prompts, workflows and development practices for AI-assisted engineering
Support the wider engineering function in adopting agentic ways of working

Requirements

What you’ll need

Significant software development experience across web applications, APIs, backend services or enterprise systems
Experience using AI coding agents as a core part of the development approach
Strong understanding of software engineering principles, architecture and development best practice
Experience deploying and supporting applications in production environments
Ability to turn ambiguous challenges into structured, deliverable solutions
Confidence reviewing, debugging and validating AI-generated code
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Curious, investigative and creative mindset
Passion for exploring new technology and challenging traditional ways of working
Experience with TypeScript and Next.js is desirable
AWS experience, including containerised workloads and EKS, is desirable
Exposure to MCP servers, agent frameworks or internal developer tooling is desirable
Experience building evaluation frameworks or testing approaches for AI-driven systems is desirable
Familiarity with Salesforce integrations is desirable
Experience in e-commerce, booking or payments environments is desirable
Experience mentoring engineers or supporting technology adoption is desirable
Interest in travel, hospitality or purpose-led B Corp businesses is desirable
