About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own end-to-end experience-enablement technical strategy across internal and external digital properties, Sales and Service, Call Center, Agency Lifecycle Management, and Marketing
- Drive Data 360 and Agentforce strategy
- Guide major business-unit Salesforce initiatives
- Set direction for contact-center and conversational AI capabilities, including Genesys
- Architect marketing and content-platform strategy, including AI-enabled content management across Unily and Optimizely
- Lead agentic-engine optimization for the external-facing marketing presence
- Lead a team of architects aligned to the Digital Applications Value Stream
- Own architecture accountability for Agency Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the Producer Lifecycle modernization effort
- Set technical direction for Customer Intelligence & Activation strategic investment
- Champion AI-first thinking and integration of architecture with emerging technology
- Define target-state technology architecture and roadmaps
- Ensure initiatives align with target state, enterprise standards, and business objectives
- Analyze industry and technology trends and identify opportunities to capitalize on technology advances
- Define and lead large technology proofs of concept
- Champion continuous transformation and minimize technical debt
- Provide thought leadership on modern architecture principles and technology modernization
- Influence senior Technology and Business leadership on architecture priorities and direction
- Partner with Technology leadership and engineering to align skills with technology direction
- Optimize talent strategy and attract, develop, engage, and retain high-performing talent
- Set goals, provide feedback, hold talent accountable, and address performance issues
- Prepare and deliver communications explaining architectural direction and business-strategy alignment

Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, technology-related field, or equivalent education/work experience
- 10+ years of architecture experience
- 8 additional years of architecture/software engineering experience
- 3 years of technical leadership experience
- Advanced-level architecture experience
- Recent hands-on strong engineering experience with modern technologies
- Successful creation and execution of complex, large-scale technology strategies and initiatives
- Extensive executive leadership experience influencing enterprise-wide technology strategy and business decisions
- Experience leading, mentoring, coaching, and developing technology architects and engineers
- Extensive experience working in an agile operational model
- Advanced experience supporting transformational change
- Experience developing technology target states and roadmaps aligned to business goals
- Insurance technology experience preferred
- Advanced understanding of value creation and business capability models
- Advanced knowledge of the insurance industry
- Experience identifying and analyzing problems and opportunities, valuating information, understanding root causes, and exploring alternative solutions
- Ability to work collaboratively to achieve mutually responsible results
- Extensive experience exercising sound judgment and making decisions
- Advanced verbal, written, and listening communication skills
