About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in structured training covering insurance policies, claim processes, systems, and procedures through virtual, classroom, and on-the-job training
  • Assess coverage to determine compensability
  • Investigate claims by gathering information from policyholders and claimants to verify facts of loss
  • Bring claims to resolution with accurate and timely payments
  • Communicate claim status to all parties
  • Maintain accurate claim activity records in claim management systems
  • Adapt to technology implementations, system upgrades, and digital tool rollouts, including AI tools, while maintaining productivity and service quality
  • Handle personal insurance claims involving automobiles and property damage
  • Progress toward independent claims handling and full claims responsibility after completing the typical 8–12 month program
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED and one year of customer service experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Previous internship or work experience in customer service or insurance
  • Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law
  • Acquire and maintain relevant Insurance License(s) within three months of starting the job
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Willingness to learn claims management systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and make effective decisions within established authority
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Basic conflict resolution skills
  • Openness to continuous learning
