About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in structured training classes covering insurance policies, claim processes, systems, and procedures
- Complete virtual, classroom, and on-the-job training
- Assess coverage to determine compensability
- Investigate claims by gathering information from policyholders and claimants
- Verify facts of loss
- Assess coverage and bring claims to resolution with accurate, timely payment
- Communicate claim status to all parties
- Maintain accurate claim activity records in claim management systems
- Adapt to technology implementations, system upgrades, and digital tool rollouts, particularly AI tools
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED and one year of customer service experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Previous internship or work experience in customer service or insurance
- Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law
- Acquire and maintain relevant Insurance License(s) within three months of starting the job
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Willingness to learn claims management systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and make effective decisions within established authority
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Basic conflict resolution skills
- Openness to continuous learning
