About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead strategic planning and campaign development for Travelers Enterprise Initiatives, including Travelers Institute, Citizen Travelers, and Sustainability
  • Create marketing strategies and develop integrated campaigns across offline, digital, social, and experiential channels
  • Lead campaign execution and oversight with cross-functional teams
  • Develop insight-grounded marketing strategies, creative briefs, and thought starters for creative teams
  • Partner with senior business and marketing leaders on integrated marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Provide strategic marketing recommendations aligned with business objectives
  • Build and develop high-performing marketing teams
  • Lead staff through talent development, performance management, and objective and goal setting
  • Adopt relevant marketing changes, trends, AI, and agile marketing techniques
  • Oversee multiple agency relationships and maximize agency effectiveness
  • Manage brand standards and compliance with brand guidelines
  • Provide project and thought leadership on complex marketing issues and projects
  • Set media strategy and oversee execution across business units
  • Collaborate with media agencies on channels, platforms, marketing technologies, and programs
  • Review creative work and ensure alignment with approved strategies
  • Develop content strategy and provide strategic input to senior managers
  • Evaluate budgets, balance resources against business needs, and manage agency SOWs and budgets
  • Manage employees through direction, training, and performance feedback
  • Conduct market research and develop processes to optimize campaign quality and efficiency
  • Hire and onboard vendor partners
  • Recommend strategies to maximize media investments
  • Approve advertising media buys for business units
  • Work with Data and Analytics to track program effectiveness and optimize campaigns
  • Lead agency performance assessments
  • Collaborate with corporate and business teams to align shared objectives
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience in advertising, marketing or related field
  • 7+ years of experience managing others
  • Strong understanding of changes and trends in media, content, and digital marketplaces
  • Strong computer skills preferred
  • Expert knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Proven track record working with multiple clients on marketing campaigns and creative development
  • Expert knowledge of advertising and media platforms and trends
  • Proven ability to build and lead strong internal team/client relationships and motivate teams
  • Ability to work successfully in a matrix organization
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional strategic management skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to align Enterprise efforts with business priorities
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence others
  • Ability to exhibit courage and conviction
  • Initiative and a “can-do, whatever it takes to get it done” attitude
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in advertising, marketing or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
