About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete core assignments and training modules geared toward insurance and underwriting principles
  • Participate in and complete self-paced professional development courses in time management, presentation skills, and other key areas
  • Complete challenging and meaningful project work at the discretion of the manager
  • Work independently or with other interns and present findings to local leadership
  • Conduct projects such as territorial risk assessments and business process analyses
  • Leverage modern analytical and artificial intelligence (AI) tools/platforms and critically evaluate AI-assisted outputs
  • Learn about Risk Control, Claims, and related corporate functions
  • Engage in agency visits with Account Executives
  • Participate in the Enterprise Internship experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. now and in the future
  • The company does not sponsor/support H-1B petitions, TN, or Forms I-983/STEM OPT for this role
  • Pursuing or obtained a Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Liberal Arts (with business focus preferred), Management, Marketing, Risk Management and Insurance
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Serious interest in entering the insurance industry and making underwriting a future career choice
