About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete core assignments and training modules focused on insurance and underwriting principles
- Complete self-paced professional development courses in time management, presentation skills, and other key areas
- Complete challenging project work at the discretion of the manager
- Work independently or with other interns and present findings to local leadership
- Learn to use modern analytical and artificial intelligence (AI) tools/platforms and critically evaluate AI-assisted outputs
- Learn about Risk Control, Claims, and related corporate functions
- Potentially participate in agency visits with Account Executives
- Participate in the Enterprise Internship experience, including speaker series, networking events, and symposium
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. now and in the future
- Must be pursuing or have obtained a Bachelor's degree
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Liberal Arts (with business focus preferred), Management, Marketing, Risk Management and Insurance
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Serious about entering the insurance industry and excited about underwriting as a future career choice
