About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete core assignments and training modules geared toward insurance and underwriting principles
- Participate in and complete self-paced professional development courses
- Complete challenging and meaningful project work at the discretion of the manager
- Work independently or with other interns and present findings to local leadership
- Conduct territorial risk assessments and business process analyses
- Learn to leverage modern analytical and artificial intelligence tools/platforms and evaluate AI-assisted outputs
- Learn about Risk Control, Claims, and related corporate functions
- Engage in agency visits with Account Executives
- Participate in the Enterprise Internship experience, including speaker series, networking events, and the Rising Senior Intern Symposium
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. now and in the future
- Must be pursuing or have obtained a Bachelor’s degree
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Liberal Arts (with business focus preferred), Management, Marketing, Risk Management and Insurance
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Serious interest in entering the insurance industry and pursuing underwriting as a future career
