About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and guide the technology vision enabling business transformation
- Create enterprise-wide AI solution architectures bridging current capabilities with future possibilities
- Design AI-enabled solutions using cloud-native technologies and modern integration patterns
- Establish scalable architectures for evolving business applications
- Define target states, technology roadmaps, and architectural frameworks
- Support architecture within a specific Corporate Architecture segment or domain
- Enable reusable AI patterns for adoption across multiple teams and products
- Contribute to target-state architecture and roadmaps focused on scalable AI adoption across corporate domains
- Support technology modernization initiatives
- Help minimize technical debt through continuous transformation
- Build foundational relationships and encourage buy-in
- Partner with the Enterprise AI Architect to align corporate-domain AI solutions with enterprise reference architectures, standards, and governance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and/or work experience
- 4 additional years of architecture/software engineering experience
- Alternatively, 6 years of demonstrated engineering experience or 2 to 3 years of technology architecture experience
- Recent hands-on architecture and/or engineering experience with modern technologies
- Experience executing modern technology modernization initiatives
- Experience with API-first and event-driven architecture; familiarity with MCP is a plus
- Exposure to or experience with AI solution patterns, including LLM-enabled applications
- Knowledge of AI operational considerations such as evaluation, observability, latency, and cost
- Experience working in an agile operating model
- Insurance technology experience preferred
- Corporate capability experience in Finance, Investments, Billing & Payments, Procurement, Legal, or related areas strongly preferred
- Understanding of value creation and business capability models
- Knowledge of the insurance industry
- Ability to analyze current and future problems and opportunities, evaluate information, identify root causes, and explore alternative solutions
- Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and exercise sound judgment
- Must meet the stated architecture/software engineering experience requirement
