Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and operationalize complex data solutions
  • Correct problems and apply data transformations
  • Recommend data cleansing and data quality solutions
  • Design data solutions

  • Incorporate data governance, data security, and data quality practices
  • Collaborate across teams to support delivery
  • Educate end users on data products and analytics environments
  • Perform data and system analysis, assessment, and resolution for moderate-complexity defects and incidents
  • Test data movement, transformation code, and data components
  • Support Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and business intelligence/insights through data solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or equivalent in education and/or work experience
  • Six years of related experience
  • Two additional years of software/data engineering experience
  • Experience in data transformation using dbt and/or Databricks PySpark
  • Experience building data pipelines using AWS cloud services and Databricks
  • Experience using AI tools and solutions to improve productivity
  • Strong skills writing complex SQL queries
  • Experience interacting with business partners on requirements, design, and solutions
  • Proficient use of cloud platforms, programming languages, data manipulation tools, techniques, and software engineering practices
  • Ability to deliver work at a steady, predictable pace and decompose assignments into small batch releases
  • Domain expertise and in-depth knowledge of immediate systems worked on
  • Proven problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate leadership skills and demonstrated self-motivation
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States
