About the role

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM, computer science, or related field, or equivalent education and/or work experience
  • Eight years of related experience
  • Four additional years of data engineering experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and Databricks
  • Experience working in an AWS environment highly preferred
  • Familiarity with ETL tools such as Ab Initio, Informatica, or comparable technologies
  • Prior experience leading a technical team or serving as a team lead is a plus
  • Highly proficient use of cloud platforms, programming languages, data manipulation tools, and modern software engineering practices
  • Ability to deliver work at a steady, predictable pace, achieve commitments, release complete solutions in small batches, and negotiate important tradeoffs
  • Demonstrated domain expertise, understanding of technical concepts and industry trends, and in-depth knowledge of immediate systems with some knowledge of adjacent systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to create innovative, durable solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and business partners
  • Ability to lead team members and create a safe environment for engineers to learn and grow
  • Proven self-motivation in identifying opportunities and tracking team efforts
