About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer and improve enterprise Microsoft 365 messaging and collaboration services
  • Manage Exchange Online and on-premises Exchange Server in a hybrid environment
  • Administer Azure AD Connect, mail flow, mailboxes, distribution groups, routing policies, server health, queues, retention, and archiving
  • Manage enterprise Teams policies, meetings, client updates, and Teams Phone System capabilities
  • Maintain integrations with Exchange, SharePoint, and OneDrive
  • Use PowerShell automation for onboarding and offboarding, licensing and mailbox setup, Teams configuration, batch changes, health reporting, usage analysis, monitoring, configuration management, patching, and backups
  • Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Manage escalations to Microsoft Support
  • Plan and execute Exchange updates, mailbox migrations, Microsoft 365 feature deployments, and possible tenant-to-tenant migrations
  • Apply testing and change-management processes
  • Create documentation, runbooks, and training
  • Collaborate with Network, Security, and Help Desk teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related STEM field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of relevant Infrastructure or Systems Engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or equivalent work experience plus 4 years of infrastructure engineering experience
  • Substantial Exchange hybrid and Teams expertise
  • Experience with SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business
  • Knowledge of Exchange architecture
  • Knowledge of Teams policies and voice
  • Knowledge of Azure AD identity and security
  • Knowledge of Conditional Access and MFA
  • PowerShell proficiency
  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, networking, and monitoring
  • Occasional off-hours maintenance or critical-incident response availability
