About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute work order processes across assigned business lines and area-specific strategic sourcing strategies
  • Manage supplier work orders and portfolio activities, including intake, modifications, closures, data analysis, and process/tool optimization
  • Advise stakeholders on sourcing model selection, supplier performance, workforce demand planning, suppliers, and rate structures
  • Oversee resource onboarding, validate skill requirements, drive Technical Assessments, and monitor engaged resources
  • Build relationships with engagement managers, LOB stakeholders, finance partners, and supplier contacts
  • Monitor vendor performance, identify risks and control gaps, address delivery issues, and escalate when appropriate
  • Analyze work order data, supplier capability changes, and sourcing market conditions to identify continuity risks and recommend actions
  • Provide updates supporting ELT visibility into sourcing strategy, workforce demand, and supplier performance
  • Execute work transitions involving supplier, sourcing model, or workforce composition changes
  • Coordinate migrations from internal resources to external suppliers and support onboarding of new supplier teams
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled workflow enhancements
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise sourcing models, rate cards, role designations, and sourcing guidelines
  • Track sourcing footprint, role utilization, team composition, and premium role usage
  • Manage sourcing activity across multiple assigned lines and identify cross-line patterns and efficiencies
  • Monitor work order alignment to budget and resolve variances with DFRs
  • Prepare Business Review materials and Monthly Operating Review data
  • Partner with LOB stakeholders, DFRs, and Procurement on sourcing, contracting, budgets, resources, and issue resolution
  • Apply Travelers’ AI tooling to reporting, data analysis, and workflow management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing, workforce strategy, supplier management, or a related field
  • Three years of experience in Supplier Management, Finance, Audit, Procurement, or a related field
  • Experience with Fieldglass, ACS, and workforce planning tools strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting or managing work transitions, supplier migrations, or sourcing model changes preferred
  • Familiarity with rate card structures, role modernization concepts, and supplier performance principles
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with senior LOB or technology leaders
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements or automation opportunities
  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools and large language models, such as Claude; ability or willingness to integrate AI capabilities into day-to-day work processes preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong working knowledge of managed services, staff augmentation, GSO, POD/catalog models, and rate card structures
  • Ability to manage complex, ambiguous situations and drive to resolution with senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating sourcing data, identifying trends, and translating findings into actionable recommendations
