About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and operationalize complex data solutions
- Correct problems, apply transformations, and recommend data cleansing and quality solutions
- Design complex data solutions and incorporate new data sources
- Ensure designs are consistent across projects and aligned with data strategies
- Analyze complex data sources to determine value and recommend data for analytical processes
- Apply data governance, data security, and data quality practices
- Act as a data and technology subject matter expert within lines of business
- Support delivery and educate end users on data products and analytics environments
- Analyze, assess, and resolve high-complexity data and system defects and incidents
- Collaborate across teams to support delivery
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or equivalent in education and/or work experience
- Six additional years of data engineering experience
- Ten years of related experience
- Experience with data pipelining, data processing, and data warehousing
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and DBT
- Proficiency with ETL tools such as AbInitio or Informatica
- Experience with AWS or Azure
- Demonstrated technical leadership and/or supervisory experience
- Experience leveraging AI tools and technologies
- Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms, programming languages, and modern software engineering practices
- Experience with design strategy, automated testing, quality assurance, and system health monitoring
- Strong problem-solving and domain expertise
- Excellent communication, documentation, business partnership, leadership, and influence skills
