About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead Sourcing Risk & Operations for Travelers' technology and operations strategic supplier portfolio
  • Own supplier risk reviews, due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and proactive portfolio-based risk oversight
  • Develop portfolio frameworks defining supplier scope, governance, operational support, and team alignment
  • Lead executive briefing materials, talking points, and supplier performance visibility
  • Manage business continuity and disaster recovery planning, tabletop testing, and incident communications
  • Oversee offshore development center footprint, site audits, operational controls, and SOC review outcomes
  • Lead and develop the Sourcing Risk & Operations team through coaching, role clarity, and tooling
  • Maintain knowledge of supplier capabilities, priorities, roadmaps, and competitive positioning
  • Partner with Procurement, Legal, Workforce Management, and Tech & Ops leadership on supplier governance
  • Participate in enterprise supplier management governance forums and steering committees
  • Define risk measurement strategies, scorecards, and reporting cadence
  • Monitor supplier risk indicators and emerging industry or regulatory trends
  • Resolve supplier risk issues, audit findings, and governance gaps
  • Support analytical requests and strategic special projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically 9+ years of Finance, Audit, Procurement or Sales/Servicing related experience
  • Master's or other advanced degree
  • Thorough knowledge of project management processes
  • Thorough knowledge of business law, legal contracts, cash flow, and working capital
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency of eSourcing and Ariba procurement applications
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency of MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8 years of supplier management or related experience
  • Advanced communication skills and computer literacy
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues
  • Ability to operate successfully in a team and fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated initiative, problem solving, and change management
