About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead design, configuration and development of high-visibility AI applications on Team Breeze
- Design and implement agent orchestration flows using AWS Bedrock AgentCore and/or LangGraph, including tool calling, routing and prompt strategies for Claude models on Bedrock
- Own the end-to-end RAG pipeline from document ingestion through embedding, vector-store APIs and retrieval/answer quality evaluations
- Architect and build AWS services using Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront/Lambda@Edge, Route 53, Secrets Manager/Vault and Bedrock inference profiles
- Develop and operate containerized retrieval and evaluation services on Amazon EKS with Helm and ArgoCD
- Integrate OpenTelemetry collectors and export traces to Dynatrace, S3 and Braintrust
- Maintain infrastructure as code and CI/CD using Terraform, Terraform Enterprise, GitHub Actions and TEP pipelines
- Build and maintain application layers in Python, TypeScript/Node 24 and React 19/Vite
- Investigate and resolve critical production issues across AWS services, Kubernetes workloads, data pipelines and observability tooling
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship around design documentation, testing, evaluations, code reviews and operational readiness
- Apply current AI/LLM, cloud and observability trends to improve system design, developer productivity and business outcomes
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or its equivalent in education and/or work experience
- 6 additional years of software engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience shipping LLM/agent systems to production
- Hands-on knowledge of tool calling, prompt and routing design, RAG retrieval quality tuning, and defining evaluations for LLM and retrieval performance
- Strong AWS serverless and EKS experience
- Practical experience authoring and maintaining Terraform, Helm charts and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and TEP
- Observability fluency with OpenTelemetry or Dynatrace, structured logging with correlation IDs, cost tracking and incident handling
- Experience across Python and TypeScript/Node 24 in the service layer and React 19/Vite on the front end
- Familiarity with data and retrieval pipelines from ingestion through embedding to vector-store-backed APIs
- Habit of writing tests, evaluations and data-quality checks
- Advanced software delivery skills, automated testing, feedback loops, quality assurance and production readiness monitoring
- Track record of developing business partnerships and influencing priorities
- Ability to solve complex problems using data and proofs of concept
- Ability to explain technology concepts to business stakeholders, document initiatives, collaborate effectively and exchange constructive feedback
- Ability to take action without a clear owner and influence and motivate teammates
- Experience with Strands, LangGraph or Bedrock AgentCore is a plus
