About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the technical vision for team products and shape product vision with the product owner and designer
- Support data-driven business cases and collaborate on the roadmap
- Design, build, and ship production AI agents that automate impactful end-user workflows
- Implement telemetry for product decision-making and reporting
- Work with agent frameworks, LLM APIs, and orchestration tooling to deliver reliable production systems
- Set direction for agent architecture, evaluation, and observability
- Investigate and resolve critical production issues affecting agent behavior, accuracy, and reliability
- Apply AI practices including tool use, retrieval, evaluation, and prompt engineering
- Align product technical strategy with broader engineering goals through stakeholder engagement
- Mentor team members and contribute to a collaborative cross-functional environment
- Expand expertise in agent frameworks, AI tooling, and relevant business domains
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 1 year of experience shipping production systems built on LLMs or AI agents
- Experience with modern agent frameworks such as Claude Agent SDK, LangGraph, or AgentCore
- Experience with LLM APIs from providers such as Anthropic or OpenAI
- Proficiency in tool use, retrieval, multi-step workflows, evaluation, and observability
- Strong software fundamentals in distributed systems, API design, testing, and CI/CD
- Experience defining and driving technical direction of a workstream or product area
- Track record of influencing engineering or product strategy through technical insight
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and/or work experience
- 6 additional years of software engineering experience
- Strong communication, leadership, decision-making, collaboration, and mentoring skills
