About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and lead a high-performing outbound sales development team
  • Own strategy, execution, and coaching to turn targeted account lists into qualified pipeline for Account Executives
  • Set the outbound playbook covering messaging, sequencing, and prospecting across email, phone, and social
  • Manage a small SDR pod day to day
  • Hire, onboard, coach, and manage SDRs with activity, quality, and pipeline-generation targets
  • Partner with Marketing on inbound lead routing, qualification criteria, and campaign follow-up
  • Work with RevOps to define and track SDR KPIs and maintain clean, consistent Salesforce data
  • Segment and prioritize target account lists using Clay and Apollo
  • Coordinate investor-network outreach through VC and angel partners and report effectiveness
  • Build tiered account outreach and signal/trigger-based prospecting with RevOps and GTM tooling
  • Own post-event follow-up for conferences, dinners, and executive briefings
  • Run weekly 1:1s, pipeline reviews, and call coaching using Gong
  • Escalate complex or high-value accounts and remain hands-on in prospecting
  • Report team performance and pipeline contribution to sales leadership
  • Champion AI-driven workflows using tools such as Claude for research, personalization, and reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1–3+ years of experience managing or leading an SDR/BDR team
  • Experience ideally at a B2B SaaS company selling to enterprise or technical buyers
  • Track record of building or scaling outbound pipeline generation
  • Ability to build outbound sales playbooks or programs
  • Strong coaching instincts for calls and sequences
  • Comfort with Salesforce, Apollo, Clay, Gong, Outreach/Salesloft, or similar GTM tools
  • Ability to work hands-on with sales tooling
  • Data-driven team management, target-setting, conversion tracking, and tactic adjustment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to represent customer insights to Marketing and Product
  • Experience selling to technical audiences or in incident-management/observability is a strong plus
  • Early-stage or high-growth startup experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with account-based prospecting into large enterprise accounts is a plus
  • Experience partnering with RevOps on compensation design, territory planning, or lead scoring is a plus
  • Must address visa sponsorship requirements to work in the United States
