About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and grow a book of assigned accounts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and nurture account relationships
  • Identify new opportunities within assigned accounts, including additional studies, expanded scope, and new therapeutic areas
  • Run discovery calls to understand trial needs, recruitment challenges, and decision-making processes
  • Qualify opportunities and prioritize the pipeline
  • Build and present tailored proposals and pricing
  • Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, including follow-ups, objection handling, internal coordination, and contract execution
  • Partner with legal and leadership to finalize contract terms
  • Ensure accurate handoff into onboarding
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of account activity, opportunities, and pipeline
  • Support forecasting and reporting
  • Collaborate with Commercial teams and Customer Success to drive retention and account growth
  • Occasionally prospect for new clients, sponsors, or CROs through outbound outreach, networking, or referrals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hands-on clinical trial operational experience, such as CRA, site coordinator, CRO project support, sponsor-side trial management, or similar
  • Experience supporting patient recruitment, retention, or site support services
  • Direct sales pitching experience, including pitching services, presenting proposals, and closing deals
  • Account management experience growing client relationships, identifying expansion opportunities, and closing deals in a clinical research context
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with sponsors and clients
  • Ability to translate technical and operational knowledge into compelling client conversations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable running discovery calls, delivering proposals, and negotiating terms
  • Highly organized and self-motivated
  • Comfortable independently owning an account book and its pipeline
  • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Commitment to clean, consistent CRM data hygiene
  • Existing sponsor, CRO, or site organization network preferred
  • Familiarity with relevant therapeutic areas preferred
