Key responsibilities & impact
  • Troubleshoot customer-reported technical issues by reviewing system information, evaluating contributing factors, and identifying next steps
  • Apply TriCore standards, established procedures, engineering best practices, and sound technical judgment
  • Communicate with customers and internal team members throughout the support process
  • Gather information, set expectations, and provide timely issue-status and resolution updates
  • Document troubleshooting steps, findings, communications, technical changes, and resolution activities
  • Program, configure, test, and implement approved PLC- and HMI-based changes
  • Follow review and change-control processes
  • Develop proficiency across TriCore automation technologies, platforms, engineering standards, and customer environments
  • Prioritize support cases and escalate issues when safety, production impact, complexity, expectations, or expertise exceed assigned capabilities
  • Follow TriCore and customer safety, conduct, policy, and site requirements
  • Own assigned support work through resolution or effective handoff, documenting status, risks, next steps, and outstanding actions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with demonstrated success applying technical knowledge in engineering or automation-related environments
  • Entry-level through approximately five years of experience, with ability to develop technical proficiency and work with increasing independence
  • Foundational knowledge or demonstrated experience in electrical design, PLC ladder logic, HMI configuration, computer programming, electrical principles, and/or industrial electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability and willingness to develop proficiency across all listed technical areas
  • Proficiency with Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other computer technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work scheduled 12-hour night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am Central Time and rotating weekends
  • Preferred experience in beverage, dairy, soft drink, or food manufacturing process industries
