About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create applications using JAVA
Work with the customer’s technical team to identify initial requirements
Apply general best practices for software development and the Agile team lifecycle
Use SQL and database tools to design and support the back end of a web application
Code and organize the application using best practices
Share knowledge with the team and grow the team’s skills and understanding of a robust application
Build, manage, and maintain applications that interact with databases
Design, implement, and optimize database queries from Java applications
Write Java code to connect to databases, execute SQL queries, and handle data processing tasks
Perform backend development, data integration, and application support
Support the federal client and help ensure an exceptional customer experience

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 8 years of overall professional experience and bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 6 years of experience with JAVA and JAVA Script
Minimum of 3 years of experience with SQL
Demonstrated understanding of modern Java, Angular, JavaScript, SQL coding practices
Ability to work independently as well as within a dynamic team environment on development tasks and continuously deliver quality code for team review and product owner demonstration
Self-starter able to work independently and within a team
Flexibility and the ability to react to rapidly changing requirements
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Phone interviews require a landline or cellphone number backed by a physical SIM; VOIP numbers are not accepted
