About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and verify performance of highly complex biomedical and medical imaging equipment
- Carry out performance verification inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and operation verification procedures
- Inform supervisors about repair status, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations, and customer concerns
- Direct and document subcontractor, vendor, and outside service technician activities
- Maintain clinical engineering expertise through ongoing training and education
- Lead or assist with Service Operations Special Projects, including travel to sites and information or data collection and analysis
- Respond to biomedical and medical imaging equipment service calls and requests
- Triage service repair needs and communicate status internally and externally
- Maintain equipment database accuracy and integrity, including inventory, PV schedules, nomenclature, and service history
- Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan and applicable regulatory requirements
- Ensure service and documentation are complete, timely, and accurate
- Work with Medical Physicists on radiation outputs for regulatory compliance and patient safety
- Build and maintain customer relationships
- Discuss equipment status and functionality with clinicians
- Serve as a TriMedx ambassador and uphold organizational values
- Inspect inventory status and maintain common-failure-parts inventory
- Verify security analysis for new customer equipment
- Perform incoming inspections for medical devices, including trial, evaluation, rental, loaner, and assigned equipment
- Make inventory recommendations
- Perform all other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 year degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent experience required
- Requirement waived for applicants with TRIMEDX Trained Certification or equivalent biomedical related certification program
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering technology preferred
- Technical Certification preferred
- Complex computer skills, including system administration, error-code interpretation, hard-drive defragmentation, power-supply replacement, computer-code interpretation, and networking concepts
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel and networking applications
- Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license required
- Variable travel requirements, potentially requiring use of a personal vehicle
- Travel may be required based on customer or business needs
