About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide clinical equipment services under close supervision of TriMedx management
- Validate and inspect clinical equipment for completeness, mechanical and electrical safety, and proper operation
- Perform performance assurance inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and operation verification procedures
- Repair, install, and calibrate general biomedical equipment
- Assist with troubleshooting and major repairs of complex equipment
- Inform supervisors about repair status, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations, and customer concerns
- Direct and document subcontractor, vendor, and outside service technician activities
- Maintain biomedical expertise through ongoing training and education
- Assist with Service Operations Special Projects
- Maintain accurate equipment inventory, performance assurance schedules, nomenclature, and service history in the equipment database
- Perform periodic inventory inspections, security analysis verification, and incoming inspections
- Build and maintain customer relationships and discuss equipment status and functionality with clinicians
- Make inventory recommendations and perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associates degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent military experience or two years of equivalent experience
- Complex computer skills, including interpreting error codes, defragmenting hard drives, replacing power supplies, and interpreting computer codes
- Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 3 months experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Variable travel requirements depending on primary site; may require use of personal vehicle
- Must adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP), regulatory agency compliances, and applicable policies and procedures
- Must ensure service and documentation are complete, timely, and accurate
