About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with day-to-day ED department operations, including overseeing operations, physicians, and staff
  • Oversee trauma coordinator and ensure regulatory and compliance requirements within the department
  • Complete schedules and timecards; manage UKG, PTO requests, and timecard duties
  • Hold daily huddles with the ED department
  • Manage patient complaint follow-up and Midas incident reporting
  • Manage and oversee quality assurance projects and quality initiatives
  • Participate in Newton Leadership Team meetings
  • Work with other ancillary department leaders on process improvements
  • Address staffing issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Licensed in IA (or compact state)
  • BLS; ACLS; PALS; TNCC
  • BSN
  • Minimum 5-years clinical experience in ED
  • Prior management experience required
  • Epic experience
