About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide evaluation and individual/group therapy within the Adult Outpatient Behavioral Health setting
- Provide intensive casework, assessment, intervention, and referral services to patients and/or their families
- Address patients’ social needs using initiative and independent judgment based on professional knowledge, experience, and hospital policy
- Serve as liaison to other services across the continuum of care and community support services
- Collaborate with services, employees, medical staff, patients, visitors, vendors, and regulatory and professional agencies
- Work Monday through Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with flexible hours until 8:00pm twice a week
- Report to the Manager and Coordinator
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s Degree from an accredited graduate school of social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling
- Licensed to practice through the State of New York as one of: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Ability to provide evaluation, individual/group therapy, intensive casework, assessment, intervention, and referral services
- Ability to work in a clinical setting with routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions, or secretions
- Ability to perform medium work, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
