About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate, communicate, and facilitate optimal patient care through computerized and/or digital platforms
  • Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate patient care from admission to discharge
  • Use clinical knowledge, critical thinking, case management principles, and adult education to coordinate and support care plans
  • Ensure seamless, effective, and efficient transitions of care across the continuum
  • Monitor department-specific quality metrics
  • Ensure complete and accurate patient-record documentation
  • Serve as mentor, clinician, educator, consultant/collaborator, and navigator
  • Implement, direct, communicate, and document the nursing process according to established standards of care and the Indiana Nurse Practice Act
  • Advocate for patients and provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an accredited RN program
  • Indiana RN license
  • CPR certification on hire or ability to attain within 60 days
  • 2+ years of bedside RN experience in an inpatient setting
  • Ability to mentor nurses and provide guidance on clinical care
  • Knowledge of removing central lines and providing Foley care
  • Ability to work 12-hour day shifts
  • Weekend rotation: every 5th weekend, Saturday and Sunday
