About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate, communicate, and facilitate optimal provision of care through a computerized and/or digital platform supporting daily care management
  • Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate patients' plans of care from admission to discharge
  • Use clinical knowledge, critical thinking, case management principles, and adult education to coordinate, implement, and support plans of care
  • Ensure seamless, effective, and efficient transitions of care across the continuum
  • Monitor department-specific quality metrics
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation in patient records
  • Serve as mentor, clinician, educator, consultant/collaborator, and navigator
  • Implement, direct, communicate, and document the nursing process
  • Advocate for patients and provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an accredited RN program
  • RN Indiana License
  • CPR certification on hire or able to attain within 60 days
  • 2+ years of bedside RN experience in an inpatient setting
  • Ability to mentor nurses and talk them through care, including removing a central line or providing Foley care
  • Ability to implement, direct, communicate, and document the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care and the Indiana Nurse Practice Act
  • Ability to work pre-assigned Saturday and Sunday weekends every fifth weekend
