About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gather intake data and reason for visit; assist with exams
  • Assist physicians with office procedures and provide ordered treatment modalities
  • Document medical records
  • Administer medications and vaccinations
  • Perform telephone triage
  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection
  • Provide patient and family education and support
  • Schedule referrals and specialty appointments

  • Ensure quality nursing care in accordance with the New York Nurse Practice Act, national standards, and nursing and clinical service standards
  • Plan, direct, and supervise patient care using the Nursing Process

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current licensure in the State of New York
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Participation in orientation and continuing education
  • Maintain knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat and reach
