About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care as a patient and family advocate
  • Care for diverse patient populations across multiple specialties and units in Boise and Nampa
  • Support Trauma Medical-Surgical, Trauma General Surgery, Ortho Joint & Trauma, Medical Oncology, Orthopedic Medical-Surgical, and Telemetry teams in Boise
  • Support Cardiac Medical Unit, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical units in Nampa
  • Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments safely; monitor patient progress and respond to changing needs
  • Educate patients and families to support recovery, wellness, and transitions of care
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and fellow caregivers
  • Communicate patient status and care plans through verbal handoffs and clinical documentation
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation according to regulatory and organizational standards
  • Utilize clinical equipment and technology to support patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education, training, onboarding, and professional development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently hold an Idaho or multistate RN license
  • If holding a multistate license, establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 6 months of hire
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Willingness to obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support for Healthcare Provider (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
  • Practice within Idaho State Board of Nursing standards
  • Work across multiple inpatient specialties, units, and care settings
  • Ability to provide hands-on nursing care and advocate for patients and families
  • Ability to perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments
  • Ability to administer medications and treatments safely
  • Ability to use clinical equipment and technology safely and effectively
