About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work as a PRN float RN between Loyola University Medical Center and MacNeal Hospital.
  • Fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system.
  • Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and regions.
  • Assess patients, identify outcomes and solutions, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
  • Act independently and appropriately within license, scope of knowledge, and experience.
  • Retain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes.
  • Take on new and additional responsibilities while managing competing priorities and embracing new ideas and cultural differences.
  • Travel within the local region or nationally to fill critical healthcare staffing needs.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.
  • Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical experience for all specialties including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department and Behavioral Health.
  • Required to have and maintain the credentials required per their specialty area (ex: ACLS, TNCC, NRP, etc).
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association.
  • Requirement to work a minimum of 36 hours per 6-week schedule.
  • Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions.
